Isle of View opened my views

This book was incredible for me. This was the very first book I read by Piers Anthony, and even as I have blazed through some of his other books in the same Xanth and other series, this story remains my absolute favorite. In a dry-crack pun-fun-filled world, Pierce Anthony introduces characters all familiar with a twist. Everyone who believes that all fantasy books are foofy are so wrong. Just because some characters have horns and animals talk and there’s a new land doesn’t make a book any less worth reading. In fact, if you’ve never read a fantasy book and you aren’t ready to commit to a long book, I would hand them this one. Not to mention the author’s note at the end of the book really made this book even more significant. Piers Anthony…you rock!
