I have never read a book that spans such a long period of time. Yet the book is only 300 or so pages. This is not the very first 1960s sci-fi that I picked up, but it certainly has the most attention-grabbing title. Any writer should read this book. It completely changed my perception of manipulating time within a novel in a persuasive, powerful manner. The snippets of life in various planets and points of time are both heart-wrenching and meaningless. It’s brilliant. It’s fantastic. Go find it for $2 at your local bookstore if you’re lucky!!!
